Baltimore Tattoo Museum

The Baltimore Tattoo Museum is a free museum and tattoo studio located in Fells Point, Baltimore. Their exhibit shows items from 20th Century traditional style American tattooing, and they have a talented staff of artists. For the logo I chose an anchor to represent where they are located in Baltimore (Fells Point), I used a traditional shape for the anchor, but illustrated it in a more detailed manner. I did this to show their specialty: traditional style tattoos, but the detailing shows they work in more realistic and modern styles as well.

Whales in a Changing Ocean

The yearly conference, Whales in a Changing Ocean, is a three-day event and part of SPREP's campaign to protect whales. The conference focuses on emerging threats to Pacific Whales and facilitates a meeting of scientists, political decision-makers, industry and funders to investigate future changes needed to protect a vital species. It is also open to the public and involvement is highly encouraged. For the design of the brochure I chose to utilize a clam fold and have the back function as a poster when laid flat. The style of the brochure is playful to spark interest in the public and to put a twist on what most scientists would regularly expect at the meeting.

Animal Advocacy Series

This three-poster series is designed to bring awareness to daily mass killings of innocent animals; also known as the longest ongoing genocide in history. Animals are voiceless, and because only a small portion of the population acknowledges this injustice, hundreds of thousands of innocent lives are taken every day. These posters are exclusively typographic and aim to be a symbol of hope for animals.

Small Text on posters:

Genocide is the deliberate and systematic extermination of a group of beings. Every cruel act of genocide we as a species have committed against one another — happens to animals every day. 56 billion farmed animals are killed every year by humans. This is an example of speciesism, which is the assumption of human superiority leading to the exploitation of animals. Just as racism and sexism discriminate and belittle other groups, speciesism does the same to animals. Animals have no voice, so we continually abuse, slaughter, and enslave them due to the belief their lives aren’t as valuable as our own. When we believe that some lives are more valuable than others, we are set up for a world of violence and discrimination.
